KSH Rainbow Bridge

"Somewhere in Time's own space there must be some sweet pastured place,

Where creeks sing on and tall trees grow, some Paradise where horses go.

For by the love that guides this pen, I know great horses live again."

        - Stanley Harrison

Many horses have passed through the gates of KSH. Here we honor their memories, though we can never fully express our love and appreciation with just words!

Name: Nelson

Birthday: February 21, 2002 - July 2020

Breed: Pinto (Arab/Quarter Horse cross)

Occupation: Nelson was our resident repair man. He was always sure to help with farm repairs. We could count on him to carry our buckets of tools, zip up (or down) our jackets, and to stick with the job until it was done. His diagnosis of cancer came with great heartbreak but no surprise, as greys are especially susceptible to developing cancerous tumors.

Name: LM Flames Monkey aka "Jesse James"

Birthday: April 21, 2006 - August 2018

Breed: Pony of the Americas

Occupation: Lesson horse for lead-line lessons and intermediate riders. Jesse developed Polysaccharide Storage Myopathy which ultimately ended his life. He is laid to rest next to his best friend Arabian mare, Memory.
